Travel to the United States
Participants who need a visa to travel to the United States should apply as soon as possible.

The conference will take place in two buildings that are a short walk from each other:
- McDonough School of Business, Hariri Building: registration, parallel sessions, breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches, keynote lectures, reception
- Economics Department, Intercultural center (ICC) building: parallel sessions
Registration and Fees
Please register for the conference at https://editorialexpress.com/conference/uea2024/. Presenters should register using the same username as when they submitted.
Deadlines: Presenters must register by July 22 to be included in the program. Registration for non-presenting attendees closes September 12.
Fees: The registration fees for the conference are:
- Regular participants: $375 until August 31, $435 until registration closes on September 12.
- Students: $120 until August 31, $155 until registration closes on September 12.
- Registration may be possible after September 12 at the local organizer's discretion: regular participants $490 and students $210.
Cancellation policy: Registrants who cancel their in-person registration prior to August 31, 2024 must pay a cancellation charge of 50% (plus transfer and currency conversion). Registrations cannot be cancelled after August 31.
Parallel Sessions and Loading Slides
In parallel sessions, 20-minute presentations are followed by a 5-minute discussion and 5 minutes for audience questions and comments. Presenters should be in the room 15 minutes before the session starts. Each room is equipped with a projector. Session chairs are responsible for bringing a laptop and loading the presentations for their session on their laptop. Presenters must transfer their PDF or PPT file to the chair's computer by email, download, or USB stick.
Student Prize Sessions
Two sessions on Friday morning will feature the finalists of the student prize competition. The winner(s) of the student prize will be announced during the conference.
Arrival
The conference registration desk on the first floor of the Hariri Building will open at 7:45 am on Friday and 8:15 am on Saturday.

- Coffee Breaks (between sessions): Second and Third Floor Atrium, Hariri Building
- Breakfasts (7:45-8:30 am on Friday; 8:15-9:00 am on Saturday): First Floor Atrium, Hariri Building
- Lunches (12:30-1:30 pm, Friday and Saturday): Fisher Colloquium, fourth floor Hariri Building; overflow seating in Connelly Commons, third floor
- Reception (7:00-10:00 pm on Friday): PwC Plaza (first floor tent), Hariri Building
WiFi access
Free WiFi access is available using the GU GuestNet network or via Eduroam.
