The dinner and reception on Friday evening will take place at Humboldt University's Thaersaal. This is a 30-minute walk from the conference venue. It is a 15-minute tram ride: the connection is almost door-to-door with line M5 (which operates at a five- to ten-minute frequency).
Please register for the conference at https://editorialexpress.com/conference/emuea2025/. Presenters should register using the same username as when they submitted.

Cancellation policy: Registrants who cancel their in-person registration prior to March 9 must pay a cancellation charge of 50% (plus transfer and currency conversion). Registrations cannot be cancelled after March 9.

Presenters should be in the room 15 minutes before the session starts. Each room is equipped with a projector and a laptop. Presenters must transfer their PDF or PPT file to the computer by USB stick. Session chairs should collect presenters' slides via email/download beforehand and bring their own laptop as a backup.

Free WiFi access is available via Eduroam.
From the airport: The commuter rail line S9 takes you directly from the airport to Alexanderplatz. It takes about 45 minutes. There are usually faster connections via regional express trains, but they may require you to change trains. In any case, you will need a public transit ticket for zones ABC, which you can buy from local vending machines or via the app of the Berlin transport service provider BVG. We recommend the app; it is more convenient and it will reliably show you the fastest transit connection to your destination (may save you some minutes on your way from and to the airport).
From Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof): You have the option to take either the underground line U5 (from the lower decks, watch out for a blue U) or any of the commuter rail lines (from the upper decks, watch out for a green S) to get to Alexanderplatz. An AB ticket will suffice for the journey.
We have blocked 150 rooms at the Hotel Motel One Alexanderplatz at negotiated rates until February 13. You can reserve these rooms on a first-come-first-served basis. If you want to make a reservation, fill in and follow the instructions on this form. Motel One Alexanderplatz is conveniently located within a few minutes walk of Berlin Alexanderplatz station and Humboldt University School of Business and Economics.
There is another branch Motel One Hackescher Markt nearby in case Motel One Alexanderplatz is fully booked (Motel One usually offers good value for money). There are plenty of other nearby hotels that can be found on the usual platforms such as booking.com.
Plenty of opportunities to entertain yourself are just around the corner. There are shopping opportunities along Münzstr./Hackescher Markt/Oranienburger Str./Auguststr., intermixed with various art galleries. Various world-class museums are concentrated on the museum island (UNESCO World Heritage). Popular sightseeing spots such as Brandenburg Gate and the Holocaust Memorial or the Government district are within reach of a convenient walk along the representative Boulevard Unter den Linden (it features the main buildings of Humboldt University, two of the city's three opera houses, the state library and many other representative buildings).
Participants must adhere to the UEA conference code of conduct.
